Earl Nash has left on his regular

Orville Waddell, who worked on the
Corvallis section crew before entering
the Navy almost two years ago, is now
how on leave. He worked a few days on
his old job while here but had to quit
in order to have sufficient time to make
the necessary arrangements for his:
wedding. Miss Reva White, a Corvallis
girl, is now Mrs. Orville Waddell and
we wish them much happiness.

W. M. Gibson’s oiling crew checked
out of the local shops the 19th of
March to start the summer’s work, his
first stop being Redmond.
I The local Chapter is I giving a dance
the 18 th of April in the K. C.' Hall to
celebrate the enactment of the two Bills
recently passed.
JO H N DAY CHAPTER No. 13
After 22 years service with the
Highway Department, Cyril C. Craw
ley, section foreman at Brogan, has re
signed to purchase the Winkler store
there. Dolly Williams, formerly helper
at John Day, has taken his place. Sorry
to lose you from among us, Cy, but we
wish you luck in your new venture,
and we know that genial smile will now
be an asset. However, have you con
sidered the problems of raising a boy
in the city?
Vic Coffey, DMS in District 5 A, is
keeping the supply of aspirins depleted
at the local drug stored He had a
shovel crew in the winter, then a
bridge crew moved in and now that the
shovel crew has departed a patching
crew and an oiling crew will be moving
in. And there are logging trucks in every
bend of the road. 5
Cliff Wooden, Condon section fore
man, ran the shovel while Cliff Mori-
sette nursed an injured hand. Wooden
handled it like he was used to pulling
wires.
