M .M .l/c; J. R. Pilcher, C .M .l/c; W. C. "Bill” Grabenhorst, M.M.2/ê;-
G. W. “Pete” Hammersley, M .M .l/c; all from Salem, Oregon, except Ham-
mersley, whose home is in Alsea.
Somewhere in the Marianas these six
former Oregon State Highway De
partment men are carrying their share
of the load on another highway—•. the
highway to Tokyo, with Uncle Sam’si
fighting Seabees.
One of the features of the get-to
gether was the temporary reunion of
the Davidson brothers, who belong to
different battalions. L. C.’s outfit saw
its first tour of duty in the Southwest
Pacific, while Glenn had 14 months of
service in the Aleutians.
All are optimistic about the recent
war news and needless to say, all are
anxious to come back to their jobs with
the O.S.H.D.
