an employee of traffic Engineering di
vision for eight years and has been act
ing traffic survey manager for the past
three years.
Caroline Strohmaier, a former clerk
in the Equipment Department- office,
who joined the "Waves” in Augiist,
1943 and is stationed at Treasure Isl
and has had another red stripe added to
her sleeve and is now a.Y eom an 1st
class.
She thoroughly enjoys her work and
is at present doing some work on the
Board of Investigation.
She has signed up for over seas duty
and is anxiously ^waiting for sailing or
ders which will take her to Hawaii. She
says she can hardly wait.
Jean Hanson, Nurse’s Aide, is now
stationed a t . Madigon General Hospital
at Fort Lewis, Wash. Jean left the
T raffic Department for Nurse’s Aide
duty in February.
Private Agnes E. Epping has com
pleted her basic training at Ft. Des
Moines and has gone to Camp A ttabury,
Indiana, where she will take Laboratory
Technician training for four months.
When she finishes training she hopes to
go overseas.
Pvt. Epping was a former member
of the State Employees Association and
,also timekeeper for Gibson’s Paving
Crew.
