additional pension of $2.50 per month
for each'year of service prior to July 1,
1946.
e. Former employees who entered the
armer forces after. September 15, 1940,
will receive prior service credit for time
spent in the armed forces .if they return
to their former employment within one
year after termination of the war. I
2-.. D eath B en efits .
I a. The beneficiaries of an employee
who dies before retirement will receive
the contributions and interest credited
to the deceased employee’s account.
3. D ependents
H a. Before retirement an employee may
decide to take a lesser retirement allow­
ance per month from his contribution
and provide either that:
(1) The balance of his contributions
at the tim e of his death shall be paid in
a lump sum to his beneficiary;
The annuity from his contribu­
tion; shall continue during the lifetime
of the beneficiary whom he designates,
or
An annjiity equal^.to , half the
allowance payable to him shall be con­
tinued during the lifetime of his bene--
ficiary-

A llowance
a. An employee who is permanently
disabled in line of duty and who has
worked five years or more for Ith e
agency ‘will be paid a disability retire­
ment allowance based upon his Contrk
butions and the pension which, the em­
ploying agency would have; paid him at
the earliest retirement age.
(1) The amount of disability retire­
ment allowance to be reduced by the
amount of any benefits received from
the industrial accident commission.
b. An employee who is permanently
disabled not: in the line of duty and
who has worked for the agency for 15
years or more shall receive- an annuity
based upon his contributions ,and a pen­
sion which the employing agency would
