Yeoman 3/c Gail Ferguson is station­
ed at the U.S. Naval Station, Seattle,
Washington. Yeoman Ferguson is lucky
in that she occasionally gets home on
short leaves.
Although not in the armed services, L.
C. Smitton and E. G. Ricketts are hard
at work on essential war work for the
Government. Larry is with the PRA
at Monaugua, Nicaragua, while Rick is
with the PRA at Whitehorse, Canada.
Rick says that he will trade thirty de­
grees of his cold weather for twenty
degrees of Larry’s heat, and throw in
a dog team extra.
Lt. Col. A. G. Skelton, Marine Corps,
who was stationed in Washington, D.C.
has been transferred to the Hawaiian
Islands.
Lt. Com. A. F. Parson, Seabees, was
on Guadalcanal for ten months, then
sight-seeing and fishing in Australia
and New Zealand.
Lt. A. E. Johnson, Seabees, is now
at Camp Parks, California, and expects
to leave soon for overseas service. He
was on Guadalcanal for 13 months.
Captain C. A. Gardner, Marine
Corps, at Camp Pendleton, California,
since February, is working hard on con­
struction. He was in the South Pacific
for nine months and saw plenty of ac­
tion.
Captain W. J. Dorner, Engineer
Corps, somewhere in New Guinea, has
been on duty in Australia, New Guin­
ea, and the South Pacific since April,
1942.
