A number of recommendations
were made as a result of the review but
no major non-compliance issues were
identified.
Employment:
Chinook Winds was originally
planned to have a workforce of 650
employees. Somehow, since the center
opened on June 28th, the workforce
ballooned to 804, 154 more than
planned.
Since the peak su m m er months,
ninety positions have been vacated due
to attrition and 60 have been laid off,
bringing the total workforce to the
planned 654 level that Chinook Winds
should maintain on an on-going basis.
The
employment
level
is
expected to be maintained by filling
positions vacated by attrition and by
cross training so employees in one
category can fill-in in other areas as
needed. An effort is being made to
provide steady employment year round.
Winter Restaurant hours:
During the winter months, the
fine dining room will be open for
dinners only from 5 p.m to 10:00 p.m.
every evening.
The buffet will be open daily
from 7 AM to 10 PM Mondays thru
Thursdays and from 7 AM until
midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

with Mr. Ryan and other
Golden Gloves repre
sentatives. I felt that our
meeting

very
beneficial, and we greed
that
golden
Gloves
tournament would be a
good promotional event
for the Chinook winds.
At the conclusion of the
meeting it was agreed
that Mr. Ryan
would
provide the following:
1) References-
For
themselves and from
other
organizations
that had supported
them in past boxing
events.
This infor
mation is required for
inclusion
in
the
request for licensing
a
boxing
event.
Boxing event pro
moters require review
and licensing from
the
Siletz
Tribal
Gaming Commission.

I find it some
what interesting that Mr.
Ryan
chose
not
to
provide the necessary
information but chose an
editorial format with the
Siletz
news
to
stir
emotion
rather
than
discuss business issues
in
a
professional
manner. All who know
me know that I would
not act and treat people
in the way Mr. Ryan
described.
I
ask
questions and require
answers that will'provide
information to make the
best business decision
