Campfire Scones

Cherry-Glazed Ham Slice
2 cups sifted flour
1 Tbs baking powder
1 Tbs sugar
V4 tsp salt
' « cup margarine
2 eggs
'4 cup milk
Sift dry ingredients mto bowl Cut m

coarse meal or crumbs Make hollow m
center Beat eggs and add milk Using a
fork, stir into hollow in flour Do nox
over-mix
Knead lightly 5 times Pull small
pieces off dough and shape around end
of peeled green sticks Be sure to cover
end of stick and spread dough th.nly or
it will not be baked in the center
Hold over coals rotating stick until
golden brown Remove from stick and
fill with honey butter or your desired
filling
For camping dry ingredients and
margarine can be prepared at home
Milk and eggs added at campsite
Place smoked ham slices (N to 1 meh
thick) on grill, not too close to coals
Brush with g la/e Broil on low brush
with glare and turning ham 20 25
minutes
Cherry G lare Combine 1 cup cherry
preserves with 2 Tbs lemon pace
