W hether o r not you have children
In school, you should atten d your
school d istric t meetings.
You pay
m ote taxes to support schools than
any o th er activity carried on at pub
lic expense. Then. too. schools a re not
g e ttin g cheaper; they cost more every
year, and probably rightly so. H ow
ever, th ere Is alw ays a good deal of
com pliant by some of the tax p ay ers
and not w ithout some ju stificatio n
The solution lies in a tte n d in g your
d istric t m eetings, fin d in g o u t how
your money is Spent and voicing your
views in the m atter. A ttend the school
m eeting.

latrin es;
We huve washed a million pots
W e've pulled a million spuds;
We have rolled "up m any a blanket
Packs and washed our dirty duds.
The actual count of revilles we stood
Is hard to tell.
In haeven th e re ’ll be no revillles,
When we've done our hitch in
hell.
We huve killed a million a n ts and
bugs
T h a t cry out for our eats,
And shook a million centipedes
And snakes from d irty sheets;
We have m arched a thousand miles.
And we have Ipltched a million
cam ps;
We huve picked the reido rt-gan
cactus
From the seat of kahki pants.
When our work on earth is finished.
Then our friend behind will te ll’
“ Those men w ent to heaven,
’Cause they’ve Spent th e ir hitch In
hell.
We have taken quinine— those bitter
bitter little pills—
To elevate our system ag ainst
the fever and the chills;
We have seen a million ack-ack burst
Above us In the sky.
As we run for dingy shelters,
W hen the daisy c u tte r fly.
Put out those light and cigarette«;,”
We hear the sergeant yell.
“ This isn’t any picnic.
I t’s another hitch In hell.”
When the finnl taps are sounded
And we shed our earthly cares.
W e’ll pull our best parade of all
Upon the Golden Stairs.
The angels wil be there to g re e t su,
And their harps will gladly play
W e'll draw a million canteen checks
And spend them in a day;
W e'll hear G abriel blow his horn.
And St. Peter produly yell:
“ F ro n t seats you guys from G uinea,
You’ve done your hitch In Hell.”
