He was walking on a boom log guiding logs with a pike pole when he fell in the water and disappeared from sight. The body has not as yet been recovered. He was married to Mis» Nadine Fouts a little over a year ago, and »he nnd all the family have the most sin cere sympathy of every one here. ANNUAL TEACHER MEMORIAL SERVICES HELD FOR REV. J. W. ANDERSON SUNDAY RECEPTION HELD AT REBEKAH HALL Sunday, November 1st, at 3 p. m., a memorial service was held at the Free Methodist Church in Willamina for Reverend J. W. Anderson. Includ ed among the speakers were Clifford Swanson of Beaverton, Reverend and Mrs. P. J. Griffiths and the main speaker, Reverend J. R. Stewart of Salem, Oregon. The special songs were rendered by Robert, Harold and Bob Cox of Sheri dan and Clifford Swanson. The songs sang were Reverend Anderson’s favor ites; Holy, Holy, Holy, Face to Face and The Eastern Gate. At the close of the service, a free will offering was taken as a memorial to Reverend Anderson for Missions, as his heart was always in the mission ary work. The offering totaled $68.00 and of this amount $20.00 was ap plied to a life time membership for both little Darlene Surgeon and little Jimmy O’Neill also $25.00 was applied for a life time membership to the W. F. M. S. for a memorial to his wife, Clara M. Anderson.
