children spent Sunday with his par
ents at Forest Grove and drove into
Portland before returning home.
Mrs. Rossel Carter is confined to
her bed with tonsilitis.
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Ellingsworth
in company with Mrs. J. B. Ellings
worth and Mrs. Edith Bailey were
Portland shoppers Tuesday.
The Willamina Civic club will hold
its regular monthly meeting Thurs
day, Dec. 28, at the Rebekah hall.
There will be a Christmas program
and members will exchange 10 cent
gifts.
Welfare contributions will be re
ceived at any of the grocery stores
and Newby’s Pharmacy in Willamina
reports the Civic club.

Mrs. J. A. Jensen and son Julius
spent Thursday afternoon shopping
in McMinnville.
Mr. and Mrs. K. E. Shetterly and
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Ellingsworth spent
the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Otto
Heider at their beach home at Nel-
scott.
Mrs. K. E. Shetterly and Junior
made a business trip to Portland on
Thursday.
Mrs. W. D. Wolfenbarger and Mrs.
A. L. Burr of McMinnville called at
the home of Mrs. H. A. Parrett on
Monday.
It was reported in this community
early this week that B. B. Branson of
the Bellevue district hud passed away.
Mr. Branson had lived in that com
munity nearly all his life. He was
well known to old timers of Willa
mina.
Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Warren were
business visitors in McMinnville Sat
urday.
The opening of the Good Luck
Coffee Shop under the new manage
ment is scheduled for Saturday, De
cember 23. Everyone is invited to
come for free coffee or ice cream
served by the new owners, Mr. and
Mrs. Jesse Myers and daughter, Elsie.
Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Shipley were
Salem visitors Saturday.
Rev. and Mrs. C. H. Schreibcr were
dinner guests Sunday at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Cook.
Edward Valliere of Hubbard spent
Sunday at the home o f his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Valliere.
Mr. and Mrs. Marion Thomas of
Ballston spent Saturday evening at
