The carnival is located on the prooerty known as the Lockhart place which was recently purchased by Otto Heider. The show Is a complete carnival and is the first to visit Willamina in many vears. The show company comes from Portland and played the Redhead Roundup at Taft over the last week end. The managers state the carnival consists of rides, shows, concessions and a big time for all. There is no admission to the grounds. The carnival arrived in town Mon day night and will be here until Sat urday night. According to reliable reports at this writing, the forest fire which de stroyed much valuable timber in the Gooseneck community is under con trol. Repeatedly the blaze got out of control of the fire fighters, however Foster Mills state they lost very little equipment. It is reported the fire covered several hundred acres. Reports yesterday indicated the forest fire north of here was within a few feet of Bald Mountain and heading south toward this town. No immediate danger prevails in this community.
