Jose, California where she was
going to see her new great grand -
son, Stanley Herbert Mead.

daughter Gloria arrived by plane
two weeks ago Saturday to visit
her father, Lannie Mead, who
is confined in Seaside hospital
suffering from a Coronary heart
attack.

Mr. and M rs. Kenneth Mead

arrived in Brookings Saturday
spending the weekend visiting his
father, Lannie M ead in th e
Seaside hospital. Robert, who
was g r a n t e d an extra 10 da)
emergency leave accompanied
Kenneth as far as Alameda Air
Base in Oakland, where he is now
stationed.
Miss Anna Mae Edward, neice
of theL .H . Meads and John Mc
Kernan Grove in from Eugene,
Ore. last Monday, spending a
few days visiting them before
going on to San Francisco on her
two week vacation.

called to Morton, Washington,
Friday by the sudden illness of
M rs. Lowe's mother. Mr.Lowe
was expected to return on Wed
nesday.

Miller. They left for home Mon
day after a delightful visit.

returned Thursday from a fish
ing and hunting trip. They were
in Burns and French G le n , and
also visited the bird refuge on
Malheur Lake.
