Drive to Mr. and M rs. Robert
Lively, and they will move to
Sixes soon to make their home
on an acreage they have purch-
chased there.
Shirley Ifcwitt, Holly Mackey,
Sally Swanswi, Gail Weeks and
Kathy Brockmiller accompanied
by Miss Ashton, spent the week­
end in Eugene at a P ress con­
ference for High School students
at the University of Oregon. Thej
also visited the Oregon State Col­
lege campus at Corvallis and re ­
turned home Sunday.
Mr. and M rs. Robert Benson
left for their home in S e a t t l e
Sunday after spending the week­
end at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Mosier.
M rs. David Crockett was able
to be brought home the latter part
of the week a f t e r undergoing a
major operation at the Seaside
hospital e a rlie r in the month.
Mr. and Mrs. Crockett have sold
their property on O c e a n View
M rs. E a rlE . Brown is receiv­
ing treatm ent in a Stockton Hosp­
ital for leg injuries she received
recently in an auto accident. Tht
details of the accident are not
known here yet.
Frank Tygart, Arnold Wright
and Wes H in to n returned last
week from a hunting trip in the
Lakeview a r e a and they each
brought back a nice mule deer.
They were in a hard hail storm
while there, and the hall stones,
which were as big as golf balls,
knocked s o m e of the paint off
their pickup.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mincer
returned home last T u e s d a y
after several days absence.
Mrs. Mincer remained in Grants
Pass with friends while her hus­
band went on to the L a k e v ie w
area where he bagged a nice
buck to bring back with him .
GRANGE NEWS
The re st of 1 9 5 7 will be an
active time for the members of
Chetco Grange according to the
schedule announced by the Mas­
te r, Joe Zumpfe. This Friday
evening, October 18th, there
will be a pot luck dinner before
the meeting, with Representative
P orter speaking at a m e e t i n g
open to the phblic at 8 o'clock.
Following the public m e e t i n g ,
the regular Grange meeting will
be held, with the officers putting
on the first two d e g r e e s for
a class of candidates. The first
November meeting is the regular
election of officers for 1958. The
Third and Fourth degrees will
be put on by the ladies' degree
team the last meeting in Novem­
ber. The new officers will be
installed at the f ir s t December
meeting and the years activities
*11 1 closewith the annual C hrist­
mas program for the G r a n g e
members and their fam ilies.
The Christm as party will be
either on the last r e g u l a r
meeting in December, or on an­
other evening for this s p e c i a l
affair.
