LEAVES FOR SCHOOL
(Editors note: The following
was written by Joanne Renhard
to the Brookings-Harbor P. T«A,
to express her appreciation to
them for the scholarship she
received from them).
Members of the Brooking s-
Harbor P. T. A.
I want to express my very
deep appreciation for your mak
ing available the scholarship
which I received. It was a very
great help financially. I only
hope that I will prove worthy of
receiving it.
I'm leaving for the University
tomorrow and I'll have to admit
I'm more than a little frighten
ed. Everyone is assuring me that
I'll love it and will make out
fine. I surely do hope they'r,
right.
However, I do want to make
the m ost of the opportunity you
have made available to me and
I prom ise you that I will do my
very best.
Thank you again so much.
