Jack Johnson is scheduled
to undergo surgery at the Vet­
erans hospital in Portland this
Wednesday, and will remain in
the Hospital there for some time

A large detailed map of the
Harbor area has been posted in
the Harbor Post Office. This
map shows in detail where the
Chetco an d Winchuck voting
precincts are separated, and
will be appreciated by the re s ­
idents of this area. The map wai
sent down by County Clerk Oleta
Walker when it was brought to
her attention that the first map
sent down was confuting as to
the exact areas taken in by the
two precincts.

have just finished putting two
coats of water proof paint on the
concrete blocks. Also they have
put another coat of w-hlte on the
outside woodwork. The building
is now looking very neat.
The City of Brookings, with
Bill Spencer will spread four big
piles of gravel out so the front
yard will look good too.
Boy Scout troop 32 met on
Wednesday, w ith 24 scouts p re ­
sent. The troop is doing a good
job, and the P. T.A. their spon -
sors should be proud of the troop
and their leaders.

the boys a talk on the scouting
schedule for this fall.
