W ith the community busy in
the bulb harvest there isn 't much
Harbor news to write about. Sev
eral of the bulb buyers are in the
vicinity, and the harvest is p ro
gressing rapidly with the continu
ing clear weather. A good r a i n
would be welcomed by everyone.

M rs. Estelle Webb returned
home the first of the week from
a vacation trip to Pendleton.

Mr. and M rs. Louis Mostad
are the proud parents of their
first cnild, a nine pound three
ounce daughter born at the Sea
side hospital on September 8th,
They have named the little new
comer Linda Marie.
Mr. and M rs. Teddy Eye re
turned home last Wednesday aftei
a months visit with relatives at
Tacoma and Bainbridge Island
in Washington. Mr. Eye, whohac
an e x t e n d e d h o s p i t a l stay
at Crescent City before going
north, is improving slowly.

gathering at their homes Sunday
in honor of the birthday of M r s .
Henry Payne. Forty seven people
sat down to the 1 o'clock dinner,
with all of M rs. Payne's children
present except one.
After the dinner the younger
group enjoyed baseball, and visit
ing occupying the others. Those
making up the group besides Mr.
and M rs. Henry Payne, Mr. and
M rs. H erbert Payne, and Mr. anc
M rs. Sonny Chapman, were Mr.
and M rs. Lawrence Payne of Gold
Beach, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Payne
Mr. andM rs. Kenneth Payne, Mr.
and M rs. Steve Cate, Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Pavne, Mr. and M rs.
Leonard Hodges, and their respec
tive children; and Mr. andM rs.
