BROOKINGS MILL MENTIONED IN BOOK
A book called "This was Saw
m illing” is now In p rin t. It was
w ritten by Ralph W. Andrews,
and was published by the Super
ior Publishing Co. Box 219 0,
Seattle, Wn. It is the third in
a se rie s of books written by Mr.
Andrews.
Our informant reports that
there is a slight nostalgic tale
about the old Brookings mill in
cluded in the colorful saga of
West Coast sawmilling.
Other books w ritten by Mr.
Andrews include "This was Log
ging ', and "Glory Days of Log
g in g ." A fourth book on the Red
woods is proposed for 1958.
All of the books have been
hailed as being historically a c
curate accounts of a p a s s i n g
phase of the old Northwest.
