LOCAL CHURCH MEMBERS
TO ATTEND CAMP MEET
Nearly all members of th e
Brookings Seventh-day Adventist
church will be attending th e
Gladstone Park Seventh-day Ad­
ventist camp meeting session
this weekend, according to Elder
M .L. Tompkins, church pastor.
There will be no regular wor­
ship appointment at the church
either this weekend or the one
following.
Services began Thursday night
July 25, and will continue through
Saturday night, August 3.
Highlight of the opening week­
end will be the ordination of three
m inisters of the Oregon confer­
ence.
Delegates from the local church
helped select conference officers
for the ensuing two year term
at the biennial business s e s s ­
ion which took place on July 24,
and July 25.
With weekend services only
days away, church members and
friends are already beginning to
pour onto the campground. Every
available tent space has b e e n
taken. P astor Tompkins e s ti­
m ates there may be as many as
15, 000 people on the grounds on
weekends.
