Mr, and M rs. R ichard Fox b e ­
came the parents~of their second
son, Gerald Robert, born July 1
in Crescent City, Calif. Thebaby
weighed 7 pounds. Mr. and M rs.
Anniversary model, were grought
into Brookings from Coquille this
last week end, by Fred Fox and
crew . Mrs. Fox drove the men
up, and four trucks were brought
back
Fred Fox are the grandparents.

GRANGE presented clock
At the regular meeting of the
Chetco Grange #765,
Friday
evening at the Grange Hall, an
electric clock for the hall was
presented to the M aster, Jot'
Zumpfe by M»-s. Docia Sweet
of S i x e s , from
the Grange
Mutual Insurance Group. The
company presented the clock to
the Grange in recognition of the*
improvements that have been
made to the hall, Chetco Grange
having added a kitchen and done
other improvement work on the
hall. Mrs. Sweet is the re p re ­
sentative of the Grange Mutual
in Coos and Curry Counties.
Twelve new m em bers were
given the first two degrees at
the meeting, and they will be
given the Third and Fourth de­
grees at the August 2nd meeting.

discussed. The Fair Princess
contest is underway with Gordon
Olsen in charge. The girl win­
ning the contest will be announc­
ed at tht* sphagetti supper being
given by the Grange on August 6.
With the whole community gett­
ing behind the Princess

this area and entering exhibits
at the Fair, the Fair Q u e e n
could be from this part of the
county.
