May 6 is opening her p ia n o
for summer classes.
Mrs. Hvsom established an
enviable reputation, not only in
Anchorage, but in the ttrrito ry
of Alaska and had students from
surrounding towns, some coming
from a distance of fifty miles
some having to travel by train.
She has done considerable
work in coaching of other teach
ers and was the only teacher in
Anchorage whose students r e
ceived scholarships for five
consecutive years. Mrs Hysom
will consider conducting classes
this fall in harmony and music
appreciation, a b r a n c h o f
instruction which proved highly
popular and successful in Ancho
rage, if enough interest is voiced
to warrant such classes.
