Extension Courses
Are Due Here

Two extension courses are to be
given in th e Brookings area in
th e n ear future. B ath courses are
open to the public, it w as an­
nounced by C urry County school
su perintendent Jo h n E. Seger,
and Brookings S ap t D. D. W ill­
iams.
The course. Alcohol Studies in
the School C urriculum , is being
taught by Dr. K en T errier, w ho
is a nationally known consultant
in alcohol education, having p a rti­
cipated as a consulant in the Yale
U niversity sum m er school w ork­
shop on this subject.
The tim e of th e first m eeting
is at 7 p.m. in th e Brookings high
school. The course will be 10
meetings, and req u ire a $24 fee.
T hree hours of g raduate or u n d er­
g rad u ate credit will be given.
This course w ould be of p articu ­
la r interest to m inisters, Sunday
School teachers as w ell .as laym en.
The second course, O r e g o n
School Law and O rganization, will
be tau v h t by Ed Sever, county
superintendent. Meeting tim e will
be at 7 p.m. beginning on March
27, w’ith seven m eetings to be
held. Two hours of u n d erg rad u ate
credit will be given. The fee will
