The first meeting of the Upper
Chetco Home Extension Unit was
held October 11 at the home of
Mrs. Vera Leeds Nine members
were present.
Mrs. Sylvia L e, county ex ten­
sion agent, gave an interesting
talk on the uses and relative m er­
its of different grades of foam
rubber. Mrs. Norma Jordan, u n ­
der Mrs. Lee’s direction, began a
picture in copper tooling. Since it
is hoped more women can attend
m eetings when work in the lily
fields is over, no officers were
elected.
The November 8 m eeting will
be held at Mrs. Mabel Baldw in's

here a week or so tidying up the
bakery they own in preparation
for re-opening, which is scheduled
for the near future.
Mr. and Mrs William Ramsey

and the scenery for a few days.
They are from Tula, Oklahoma.
