H ar ris, the agency's local county .supervisor, announced today. The com m ittee on which Mi. / i c k e t t will serve determ ines the eligibility of local farm ers who apply for EHA loans. The new com m ittm an operates an 85 acre dairy ranch in the Har- boi area and runs m ostly Guern- ey cat.le. He also runs a sub stan tial herd of beef anim als. Mr. C rockett is very interested in agriculture and in seeing it pro gress in his area. He i eplaces Lodis E. Kredtzer, who has served for a number of years as a mem ber of the FHA county com m ittee. .T he other two mem bers are Ray Zumwalt, who operates a dairy in the Sixes area, and*Louis L. Knapp who operates a large live-tock enterprise in the Langlois area. The EHA com m ittee w orks veiy , closely w ith the county supervisor ‘ in connection w ith all types of j loans. These include farm ow ner ship loans, which are m ade to buy, enlarge and develop efficient I family type farm s. They also in- ! elude loans to farm ers or th eir non-profit associations to e-tab- j li«h and ca rry on approved soil and w ater conservation practices, including improving perm anent p a stu re s. terracing, soil erosion measures, farm stead '•w ater sys tems, irrigation, drainage, and m any othei conservation practices.
