Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Swinney
presented their Silver Star
Certificates and Silver Star pins
in recogniton of the twenty five
years they have been members.
T h ey joined the Deer Creek
Grange in Josephine County in
1930 and transferred their mem-
bership here when they moved to
this area.
A petition was circulated for
signatures to have put up to vot­
ers in November the Federal
plan of re-apportionment for the
state, that is, have one Senator
for each county in the state leg­
islature arid elect the members
for the House of Representatives
on a population basis, as is done
in Congress. The State Grange
is also bringing out another pet­
ition to araend the constitution
so that a Lieutenant Governor
would be elected at the same
