OUR SHOP .
Did you hear about John
Snyder, Ralph Tew, Ralph’s
wife and George Young go
ing fishing? On a Saturday,
recently, they tried to close
the shop at 1:00 p.m. for an
overnight trip to the Upper
Summer Bridge but it was
late when they finally did get
underway and a f t e r dark
when they made camp. Now,
just who would think that it
would rain? Fish were caught
but so were colds.
The wheels, of your car, if
out of line, only a fraction,
can cause serious tire wear.
These men can remedy this
as well as catch fish.

I his here poem’s to you from me.
You are sure a pretty town,
With the rain all coming down.
Ne ver need to fear a drought,
Just hope your front yard won’t wash out!
(And never hang your washing out.)

’Course the streets arc none too hot
* But SCENERY, that’s what we got,
So who cares if there’s holes and mud,
And through the rocks and ruts we thud.
We don’t swear and cuss and stew,
We slow down, and admire the view!
(And hope the tires don’t wear through.)
And even when the lights go off,
And we are dying with a cough,
And all of the kids have got the flu,
And after that, the measles too.
We don’t worry, fret, or frown,
And curse the day w£&w this town.
(We get inside, so we don’t drown!)
The driveway’s flooded, fishing’s bad,
1 he T .V. won’t work, we’re getting mad.
Got poison oak, chewed up with fleas,
The wind blew down the myrtle trees.
But do wc give up, and start to pack?
NO I The roads arc washed out, they’d
send us back! - 4

So sick or well, lights off or on,
Damp or dry, we carry on:
And Brookings, dear, we love you still,
And cause we’re NUTS, we always will.
And now, farewell, adieu, gixxlhye.
This poem is finished; so am I.
