BASKETBALL SEASON OPENS SOON

As the pigskin parade slowly
fades from the sports scene Bask­
etball comes to the head of the
list Brookings-Harbor high school
will open its season against Eur­
eka December 2. The game will
be played on the Bruin’s new gym
floor. At present there are 16
2a...es scheduled with two games
on a home and home series with
Arcata pending.
Coach Guthrie has a nucelus of
6 lettermen returning. Those are:
Stan Gribble, Ron Bullock, Jerry
Anderson, Gary’ Coats, Ralph
Engle, and Denny Graham. Both
Engle and Graham are doubtful

The team, as usual, is playing
all its games as an independent
team not affiliated with any organ­
ized league Unless the Arcata
