human bodt
is the most complicated mechanism ever
created. Not all of its processes are thoroughly under
stood even by those who devote their lives to a study of
them. It is not surprising, therefore, that persons without
medical training who attempt to diagnose and prescribe
for their own serious ills often do themselves irreparable
damage. Have respect for your body. You can never get
another. When illness comes, consult a physician. He is
a specialist in his line, just as we are in the business of
filling his prescriptions.

HYDRANGEAS ARE BIG
BUSINESS ON COAST
B ecause hydangeas are one of
o u r prineipa’ floral crops, because
they do so well a ’ong the coast,
and because so m any people w ant
to know w hat influences th e ir
color of blooms, possibly wv can
follow through from cu ttin g s to

T h ere are two types of cu ttin g s
dorm ant and soft wood.
C om m ercially, dorm ant cu ttin g s

year, rooted, and kept grow ing

May holidays
Soft o u tlin e s a re taken in early

grow into dorm ancy, then re p o t

weeks, gently try to pull the
c u ttin g out of the medium. If it
is sort of stuck, roots are formed
and the cu ttin g s should soon be

shift them e ith e r outside or into

W hile th ere are som e varieties,
notably the w hites, unaffected by
soil acidity, there are m any o thers
