L egislators finally seeing the light, are m ov­ ing tow ard advancing the date foi prim ary elections from April up t< A ugust. F or those of us who becam e th o r­ oughly fatigued and nauseate» du rin g last y e a r’s political cam p­ aign, this move is definitely in th rig h t direction. Such a changt should be welcom ed by the legis la to r desiring to run for reflection or th e p o tential new com er to th* (xilitical arena. Most of us h ive long felt that to s ta rt cam paigning for the prim ary in Ja n u a ry , to continue filling the a ir and th e press until the Apri contest, and then to c a rry on until the N ovem ber general elections rolled around was p u ttin g cam p aigning on practically a year around basis.
