W e believe in the Pacific Northwest, and we have the
utmost faith in the future of this region which we serve. Our area’s
population has more than doubled in the past ten years, and is still
growing. We sincerely believe the Pacific Northwest will continue to
grow and go forward for many years to come.
W ith us , this faith is more than mere talk, for we are
investing millions of dollars to back our firm belief. Since 1915, we have
spent $21,456,490 to modernize and expand our telephone system. I his
year, 1954, we will spend in excess of six million dollars more.
O ur task is not yet completed. As this great area grows
we will continue our expansion program and to provide for everyone
telephone service as fine as is available anywhere in the nation.
