N ot know ing m uch about any
kind of business, and even less
about sheep, w e’ve w ondered for
some tim e ju st w hat kind of c h a r­
ac te rs it is who put a d v e rtise ­
m en ts on o u r classified page
th re a te n in g people w ith fates
w orse th an d eath if they so m uch
as get n e a r th e ir ranch.
So, being suicidal, we in v esti­
gated. We found th a t they w ere
about th e nicest people w e've
known fo r q u ite aw hile. And we
found, too, th a t they face one of
th e toughest problem s in e x ist­
ence.

Dogs th a t have been know n, a
couple of y ea rs back, to kill 500
sheep on a single ranch. No one’s
q u ite sure why a dog should feel
the way it does ab out sheep
but they do. And t h a t ’s why. if
you tak e a dog, y o u ’ll feel u n ­
welcome on a sheep ranch. Be­
cause even though you can con­
trol him, th e y ’ve been know n to
re tu rn alone to kill sheep.
