toe of h er left foot w as a m p u ta te d
and o th e r su rg e ry done on the leg.
A few y ears ago she had h er right
leg a m p u ta te d above th e knee,
and has been having tro u b le w ith
h er left foot for th e past several
m onths.

Ekdroit, Mich., to visit him, a r ­

day. J. G. S m ith, in one of whose
cabins Ben had been m aking his
hom e, took Mr. K ennedy around
w hile he w as here.
