Sigm a Phi.
Beta Sigma Phi was founded in
1931 in Abiline, Kansas as a non-
academic sorority under t h e
leadership of Walter W. Ross.
Since that time there are now
more than 100,000 women who be
long to various chapters through
out the United States and several
foreign countries.
Beta Sigma Phi offers not only
a social but a cultural program
as well, these programs being set
up at headquarters in Kansas City
to be followed by Betas every
where.
Betas have altruistic goals also.
Funds from their efforts support
two outstanding scientists in can
cer Research. At the present time
the new group is seeking a local
project to support and sponsor.

found an eager group in the
Brookings-Harbor area willing to
