On M ay 3rd
May 3 has been set for the
opening date of the Del Norte
Golf Course, according to Dr. R.
E. Sm ith, secretary of the golf
club. Construction was completed
last fall on the course located a
few miles off Highway 101 on the
G rants Pass cut-off, a beauty
spot among the redwoods.
The property, form erly known
as the Hussey ranch, was pur­
chased by a syndicate of owners
and leased to the Del N orte Golf­
ers Association. Advance mem­
bership dues have been used to
develop the nine holes project.
M emberships, which are still open,
will entitle m em bers to play the
course at a reduced ra te than
th a t which will be charged non­
members.
Dr. Sm ith sta te d th at traps

ing the new plastic pipe, was laid
