Mrs. Ray Pollard won the $75
grand prize at Don’s Cliff House
on Friday night as finalist in the
T alent Show which has run for
the past six weeks.
The runner-up. a young lady
from C rescent City, whose name
could not be learned, won $25.

and his niece, Janice C arter, of
Oregon City, who sang; M artha
Harbin, who gave a reading, and
others in previous weekly con
tests.

those privileged to be the audi­
ence.

Lozella Sternberg
In a le tte r to Les and Bob
Dimmick, Lozella Sternberg, who
was badly burned a year and a
half ago, told how happy she was
to be out of the hospital these
last two months.
D uring th at tim e she has had
seventeen o|M‘rations, taking gas
and eth er each time. She sj>oke
of not being able to bend her
left arm , which would receive
the attention of the doctors next.
Lozella hopes to visit Brook­
ings some tim e in January. Q uot­

parents of a daughter, Jo-Anne,
born at Seaside hospital, Crescent

Laird, recently deceased, who was
