Company, at the Grange hall on
Tuesday to hear testim ony from
both the public and from the w a
ter company. Decision will be ren
dered later a fte r the commission
has made its complete study.
Probably foremost among the
com plaints was the refusal of the
F H. A. to grant loans on build
ings because the w ater situation,
lack of chlorination, etc. O th er
com plaints were the alleged fail
ure of the company to m ake ex
tensions. This was explained by
the utilities as not the responsi
bility of the company but the
land-owner who wishes service.
Beginning at 11 a. in. and con
tinuing until about 7 p. m. all

will be negotiated by the w a te r
company with the City of Brook
ings, which, up the present, has
not been accomplished.

Claims Life, Mon.
A woods accident claimed the
life, Monday, of Carl K uchler of
Harlx»r, near Carpenterville. He
was crushed by a rolling log on
the hillside where he was af work.
