rades,’’ too. This scene is part of the 1951 “Lily Blossom Time’’ parade starting at
the Mobile Station, and heading eastward on its mile-long journey. Thousands of
visitors come here each year to witness th is spectacle, said to be about the most t;or-
geous of floral parades. The lily brought the first influx of people to the ar^a, and
to- ( the lily still is a great factor in the economic structure of this area and county. Re
ports show that almost a million dollars yearly arc realized from floriculture.
