A b o u t Folks You K now
Mrs. Emily Southwell of Sea­
side Park, New Jersey, is visit­
ing her nieces. Mrs. Edith Ackley
and Mrs. Dora Beaulieu for six
weeks. The youthful 84-year-old
Mrs. Southwell arrived from the
east by plane at Los Angeles and
is visiting relatives from South­
ern California, along the coast
up into W ashington while on this
journey.
Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Stafford en­
joyed a visit last week from Mrs.
Luella Hirsch of Portland.
Bob Chambers left for Portland
Friday morning accompanied by
his brother-in-law, C. W. Honey­
well of San Francisco, who had
been visiting him for s e v e r a l
days. They will visit a t the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Chambers,
w here Bob will become acquainted
with his new grandson, Dean
Robert Jr., who was born Feb. 6.
On their return, they will be ac­
companied by Mrs. Chambers who
has been in Portland helping to
care for her daughter-in-law who
suffered a broken leg during the
Christm as vacation. She is re ­
covering satisfactorily.
Mrs. Edith Warnock returned
the first of the week from Mayo
Clinic at Rochester. Minn., where
she had been for two weeks. Mrs.
W arnock was diagnosed by Nobel
Prize W inner Dr. Hinch, rheu-
motologist. She went by s tra to ­
liner from Portland.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gustafson
and Mr. Gustafson's brother and
sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. G. A.
Gustafson, drove to Portland on
Saturday. The visitors will re­
turn to their home at Penccr,
Minn., by train from there, while
Fred and his wife will return to
H arbor by the last of the week.
Women of the B aptist church
will use their talents to increase
their funds by original projects.
