The wedding of Miss Josephine
Thelma Ward, daughter of Mrs.
Grace Pitzer of San Diego, and
Frank Albert Hellrig, son of Mrs.
Emma Hellrig, of Harbor, was
held Saturday evening, July 14,
at 8:00 in Smith River Methodist
church with Rev. P. C. Knudson
officiating with a single ring cer
emony, in presence of relatives
and friends.
Bouquets of summer flowers
decorated the piano and around
the altar. Wearing royal blue
crepe street dress, with white
accessories the bride was given
in marriage by Andrew Hoffeldt,
a close friend of the family.
Bridesmaid was Gertrude Hin
ton, sister of the groom. Best
man was Joseph Hellrig, brother
ot the groom.
Following the ceremony con
gratulations were extended to
them and they left on a wedding
trip. They will make their home
at Harbor where the groom is
employed.
Week-end visitors at the home
of Rev. and Mrs. P. C. Knudson
were Mr. and Mrs. H. a . Helms
and daughter, Ruth of Chicago,
Ill. The Helms are on a motor
trip to the west coast, this being
their first visit to the redwoods

scenery along the coast.
Sgt. Claude Blagdon, who has
completed his basic training in
the 7th Armored Division of the
army at Camp Roberts, has en
joyed a few days furlough to
