We, the following named, who
are members of the Citizens’
Committee chosen at an open
meeting of the residents and vot­
ers of Brookings to incorporate
this city, have proceeded to act.
We recommend that the voters
of Brookings vote “Yes” at the
incorporation election to be held
on July 10.
Providing our recommendation

corporated we pledge ourselves
to carry out the following pro­
gram:
1. We shall continue to carry

Fifth annual Lily Blos­
som Time and Parade has
been set for one P. M., Sun­
day, probably to start at the
new Mobil Station on the
highway, and will eventu­
ally end near Azalea Park»
Floats will assembled on
the streets in the vicinity of

Baseball Game To
Follow 'Parade'
Immediately following the pa­
rade, a baseball game, between
North Bend and Brookings, will
be played at the local high school
field. Brookings and North bend
have not met before this year,
but dopesters claim the two are
evenly matched, insuring a real
game.
A dance has been set for Sat­
urday evening, July 7, at Chetco
Grange, opening the 1951 Lily
Blossom time.
Youngs Delayed
In Store Moving
Young’s 5c & 10c, which had
planned to be in the new quarters
by the end of this week, ran into
difficulties and will not be able
to open until later, it was an­
nounced earlier this week.
Delays due to material short­
ages, and completion of all the
interior finish were given as the
reasons for delay.
Clive Manley, in whose building
the Youngs will operate, will be
well along by the end of this
week on the second section, be­
tween the first section and Vin­
cent building.
