For the life of me, I cannot
understand seme attitudes in this
vicinity—to understand discred
iting attempts on parts of some
concerning this area’s future ex
pansion. Rumors are thick that
this plywood plant is a hoax, it
is a “wildcat scheme.” In an in
terview with the incorporators,
proof for the article was pro
duced to convince me of the au
thenticity of the story published
last week.
It runs in my mind that I once
read that if you '‘have faith the
size of a grain of mustard, you
can more mountains.” Perhaps a
little of that faith might help
this area right now, if it were
rightly practiced. I am frank to
admit rumors have run, in the
years past that this or that was
coming here, only to have the
rumor prove to be just a rumor.
In the case of this plywood plant
I do not believe there is any
trickcry, or rumor. I saw too
much evidence.
Another thing which convinces
me is the fact that key men of
the corporation have already pur
chased homes, or have contracted
for homes. Some of these were
listed in realty transfers last
week. I cannot picture a man
putting out money for a home
unless he is a multimillionaire. L

It is difficult. I an sure, to keep
