Set For Saturday,

dance is billed for Saturday. Feb.
3, at the Grange hall to further
the March of Dimes campaign in
this end of the county. Adver­
tising placards have been placed
about the area, telling of the1
event.
Prizes will be given for the
best costumes, as were done in
past events of this nature. Mrs.
V. A. Mendenhall Sr. is in charge
of the dance, and Mrs. Pat Kerns
is in charge of the drive in this
particular area, and Mrs. Har­
riett Payne in Harbor.
While Curry county has not
suffered any cases of infantile
paralysis in many, many years,
the county has never failed to
exceed the quota set- in most in-
statnees.

ly meeting of the Girl Scout
Leaders Association. Tuesday at
Smith River. Mrs. Leota Farmer
is president of this group and
Mrs. Pearl Olson. Crescent City,
is secretary.
Mrs. Mildred Owen. Smith Riv­
er, made an extensive report of
the 27-acre campsite at Darling­
tonia. donated by Mrs. Prudence
Muncy, as a permanent camp for

This camp, located jn Smith
River at Darlingtonia, has land
on both sides of the river. At ihe
spot a good swimming hole is
available.
Brookings was invited to affil­
iate with Del Norte group, to
assist in the camp development,
