Sunday School Play
Staged Sunday Eve
. “Christmas Under the Stars,*’
^staged by the high school class
rtf Baptist Community church.
Sunday evening, drew’ much ap
plause from the packed house.
The plot dealt with the people
on a bus en route to homes to
spend Christmas, who were way
laid when the bus broke down on
the Arizona desert. Delayed for
a night, the group carried out a
"Nativity” scene when it was dis-
covered that a young Japanese-
American woman and her infant
were aboard the bus. A traveling
salesman provided his cloth sam
ples for costumes, and under di
rection of a dramatics student,
Christmas was well spent in con
vincing an orphaned Jewish ref
ugee boy that he was believing
wrong about Chris (mas.

direction of Mrs. J. L. Mumbow-
er, included.
