GOLD BEACH — Mrs. Ruth
Briggs became the bride of Ted
ifcenworthy, of Chehalis, Wash.,
Sunday, Oct. 8, at her home at
Gold Beach. The bride wore a
blue suit with an orchid corsage
and was attended by her daugh­
ter. Mrs. Evelyn Marsh, who
wore a dark green suit with a
corsage of red rosebuds. The
groom was attended by his son,
Ray Kenworthy.
The guests attended the wed-
ings were Mrs. E. Walsh, aunt
of the bride, of Grants Pass; Mr.
and Mrs. Delmar Marsh and son
of Eugene; Ray and Donna Ken-
worthy, son and daughter of the
groom. of Chehalis; Doris Mc-
Neil of Chehalis; Charles Briggs,
son of the bride; Mr. and Mrs.
Buzz Messinger Mr. and Brs.
Clarence Phipps and two chil-
dren of Gold Beach.
A buffet dinner was served
after the ceremony and the cou­
ple left imnu diately for a short
trip to Bremerton, Puyallup and
Chehalis. They expect to return
soon and make their home here.

of Portland were visitors at their
summer home here over the
week-end. Mr. Dana, editor of
Portland Journal editorial page,
is a great booster of this area,
and visits as frequently as he
possibly can.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter S. Jones
of San Francisco, former resi­
dents of this area, spent the past
week-end here on business.
Mr. and Mrs. Harley Powell
of the Bay area, and daughter
and granddaughter, were vis­
itors lor several days at the C.
N. Goldizen home. Mrs. Powell
and Mrs. Goldizen are sisters.

business, but has been in ill
health for some time.

Paul Davis, of Davis Truck &
Tractor, told the Pilot Monday,
that he had acquired the agency
for a complete implement line,
in addition to his Farmall Cub
tractor line. A formal announce­
ment will appear in the next is­
sue of the Pilot.
In commenting upon the new
agency, Mr. Davis said he was
more than pleased at the recep­
tion which had been his in this
area, and that he was proud to
be in business in this area as he
saw a bright future.
