Chetco Wranglers
Organized Sunday
A new organization in the lo
cal community is the Chetco
Wranglers, a group of horse en
thusiasts and riders, who organ
ized Sunday and named officers:
President—Dave Crockett.
Vice-President Leo Lucas.
Secretary and treasurer — Ed
Thornton.
About 20 men and women a-
ready have joined this new rid-
ing club. Future plans concern
ing a community barn and local
grounds were laid. The next bus
iness meeting is set for Tues
day, Aug. 1 at the Morris rancid.
Anyone interested in horses or
who own any, are urged to come.
Rode Sunday Afternoon
This group took a ride up the
old Gold Beach road Sunday, and
to Lone Ranch and to the beach
where races were enjoyed. The
question of the swiftest horse is
a big question. A picnic lunch
was enjoyed by th6 12 who rode
Sunday.
