Last rites for Mrs. Charmain
Halvorsen, who passed away in
her sleep, while visiting the Van
Campen home last Thursday,
were held at 10 a. m. Tuesday
at Baptist Community church.
Rev. Nick N. Neufeld, pastor,
officiated. Interment was at the
Hillside Cemetery, Grants Pass,
by side of her late husband, who
died in 1944.
Born near Kansas City, Kans .
June 8, 1866. she was 63 years
of age at the time of her death,
She came to this area about
three and a half-years ago from
Grants Pass, and made her home
at the cottage near Sunset Auto
Courts. •
Last summer she was confined
to Seaside hospital with heart
ailment, which ultimately was
responsible for her passing.
She is survived by two daugh­
ters, Mrs. Adeline Merrill, Brook­
ings; Mrs. Ruth Shoup, of Casa
Grande, Arizona; one sister, Mrs.
Violet Woodriff of Harbor and
five grandchildren.
Mrs. Halvorsen went earlier,
last week to the Van Canmpen
home, up the Chetco, for a visit. I
