Pomona Grange
Met Here Saturday^
The meeting of Curry County
Pomona Grange was held at the
Grange hall, Saturday with Mas
ter C. A. Phipp presiding over
the business meeting in the morn
ing. A dinner was served at noon.
The lecturer’s hour was held
as opening of the afternoon's
program, under direction of Mrs.
Docia Sweet.
It was reported that the mobil?
unit for chest X-rays which had
been scheduled to be in Curry
county in November, will not
come for lack of a county health
nurse.. The importance of this
checkup was stressed and an ef
fort is being made to have the
unit come, anyway, at the time
scheduled, as there were plenty
nurses in the county who might
help with the work.
The state conference, sched
uled for Sept. 26, for Curry Co.
was discussed. It was decided to
hold the meeting in the central
part of the county if a suitable I
place could be found.
A good report of the state ses
sion was given by the Poomona
delegate, Mr. Clark. Next Po
mona meeting will be held with
Sixes Grange, Nov. 19.
Card Of Thanks

Ruth Carr, Ralph and Sharon.

Telephone party Une cooperation has a
wonderful way of spreading. If one neigh
bor uses the line sharingly, the others have
a better chance to use it. If another neigh
bor always hangs up the receiver carefully
after calling, it means the line won’t be
needlessly out-of-order” and others can
make or receive calls. If calls are reasonably
brief, everyone can make more calls.
All of these little courtesies add up to
better party line telephone service for
everyone. Why not try them on your party
