reau, boosters, or whatever it is
eventually named, will have a
great many growing pains, There
will be wide differences of ideas
and opinions, but these should be
directed properly to make all lo
cal events even more popular.
There have been times, Pilot
readers, when I had my doubts
concerning the good accomplished
by these various functions. That
was before I had opportunity tc
visit and talk to people from a
number ; of places. Just three
weeks ago I had all doubt re
moved.

To my way of thinking, this
area took its first great step to-
ward realization of the things
which are due it, last Thursday
in the proposed association to
sponsor all festivals this area is
likely to hold. It seems to me
that the whole community now
will be sponsoring these events
instead of J just separate commit
tees which haven’t always had

on July 17, that many commun
ities coveted this area's ability
and resources to stage these func
tions. Doubt that statement? I'd
suggest that you take a trip up
the coast, stop occasionally at a
f( w places, say, restaurants, and
casually remark that you're a
resident of this area, then see if
you can't learn something about
yourself, and what other people
think of the area.
Too many of us want to see
immediate results for an effort
