was when Dr. Stevenson intro
duced as his guest, Rev.v George
L. White, of Pasadena. Calif.
Rev. White said he first knew
Dr. Stevenson in Ponca. Nebr.,
some forty-odd years ago; again
he ran across him at LaGrande,
and later at Portland.
Being a youth from Ponca, and'
remembering the misery of that
episode, Lloyd knew it was none
other than his fellow Rotarian
who had been the nightmare of
that day long past, for Dr. Ste
venson was the only dentist in
Ponca at the time.
Since Ripley’s death, this in
cident may not likely be given
national recognition.
