Beginning this week will be
two drives for funds, one for
Red Cross and the other for the
Crippled children, known as the
Easter Seal Sale, and is
on similar to the Christmas Seal

Despite the fact that this na-
tion has been hit for many dif-
fevent drives, both these coming
campaigns have merit which will
aid their conclusion. Certainly
needs no deftnsi

Concerning the crippled chil
dren drive, to be carried on by
sale of Easter seals, is one that
everyone should contribute lib-

agency.
Curry county should do as well
for this Easter Seal Sale as it
did for the March of Dimes. Cer
tainly there can be no greater
work than to take a crippled and
mis-shapen child, make his life
normal for a normal life and
livehhoow.
Earthquakes in California, new
snowstorms in the midwest and
poor weather in most places of
the nation makes residents of this
area glad they live here, where
the bitterest element they have
to endure is rain.
Last Eriday when friends vis
ited at our home they told of
being m the first quake that week
in the San Francisco area, and
how they just managed to be
among the last group of cars to
cross the Russian River, before
a bridge was taken out by a
flood. When they arrived here
the sun was shining, the first
they had seen for a couple of
weeks, all of which had been
spent in Southern California........
The ram Friday night, did not
like it
affect them, they
had in southern California. The
they added,
temperatures
were moor to their liking. They
said they would return to Boise
and spread the good word about.
Having once been in the motel
business, they looked with in
terest at tht situation here. It
whis
their opinion that therein
lies tin- greatest opportunity for
winter business for this area, to
adit rtist this vicinity as a winter
resort. They may have something
then . at that.

passage
from the Christian Science text
book: "Science and Health with

cient and modern mythologies.”
