Bruins Hit Gold
Beach Three Times
In Same Manner
Gold Beach wasn’t able to sal
vage a single game, Friday night
on their home floor when the
three Bruins’ squads invaded the
county seat on the first meeting
of the two schools.
The “B” string had little diffi
culty in disposing of their game
in a way pleasing to Brookings
fans. The volleyball team, using
deadly precision, simply swamped
their host team, and then the
battle began between the two
“A’’ squads. In this game, how
ever, Gold Beach contested every
point bitterly, and at no time
did the Bruins feel safely ahead
to do any “.coasting.’’
Second String Wins
Chris Brown, with 9 points and
Garvin with 7, paced the second
string to topple Gold Beach ag-
gregation 26 to 15; leading at
the half-time, 14-10.
